Pat Pat the (Sailor) Bear

Yesterday, after church, Pat came over. We had just had lunch and he walked in with this big BUILD-A-BEAR box. Natalie and the kids were here (Brad was busy putting in cabinets at home and she wanted to get the kids out of the way! HAHA), too, so I thought he had gotten a bear for Kemp. He walked past Kemp to me and said, "This is for YOU, mama!" I was excited (I know what comes in those cute boxes!!!) and when I opened the box and looked inside, I almost flipped! You probably have already guessed! It was a SAILOR BEAR!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, Patrick (with a little help from his little sis), went and bought me a BUILD-A-BEAR! (Katie was with him, but she said he picked out the exact one he wanted!). COMPLETE with a sailor suit! Anyway, they said they had him stuffed with his HEART as well as a RECORDING! Of Pat's VOICE!  PAT-PAT (the bear's name!) says, "I love you mama! I'll always be here. I miss you". Now for all you who know me well, I'm sure you are thinking, "the poor girl went into complete hysterics!" NOT SO! I was sooooooo excited and HAPPY that I just kept squealing and giggling!!!!!!! I can't think of a more touching and precious gift!!!!!!!! That BEAR is going to go everywhere with me!!! Like the phone commercial where the little girl puts her bear into her traveling daddy's briefcase? Well, look out! PAT PAT the bear will be going everywhere with me too!!!!!!!!!!!! My only concern is about his VOICE! I don't EVER want PatPat the bear to lose his voice! I was so freaked by it, Katie said, "MOM! We'll take him back to Build-a-Bear if he stops talking and have it re-done!" HAHAHAHA! So, if you meet PATPAT the bear, you can only hear him speack ONCE! HA!.......Right this minute, PatPat (NOT the bear but his namesake!) is SNORING on our sofa! Yes, he spent the night last night and we (Pat and mama!) stayed up till midnight chatting. WHen he finally said, "I'm tired, I think I'll go to bed" I didn't want him to!!!!!!!! I am enjoying hearing a guy SNORE if you can believe THAT!!!!!!!!!......yesterday afternoon Patrick (and his newest "friend") took Kemp to Oak Mountain. That is Kemp's favorite thing to do with his PatPat. YES, I made Patrick take the camera! I have a few pix of that as well that I will post later on. But for now, I'm only sharing MY moment. My SPECIAL  gift that I will sleep with; travel with! I am reverting to my childhood and attached to my new BEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
