Update on Rachel (and baby Powell)

Hello! I've had lots of e-mails asking about Rachel and baby Powell! The latest, (and I talked to Rachel early this evening) , is that things are going pretty good. Rachel does have some kind of weird rash on her feet, (and a few places on her back) ,that kept her awake all night long last night, tho! Dr. Sharp had a dermatologist look at the rash and they gave her some cream for it that is helping the ITCH at least! she is "hanging in there". She has had lots of company and today she said she had so many visitors and that helps pass the time except that she was extremely tired from having been up all night the night before. Hopefully, she'll have a better night tonight and the rash will ease up. She has to wear those circulation boots (they are continually pumping air up and down) which might make her rash worse, too. I don't think they know where/why she has the rash but it is better. She still is not allowed up EXCEPT to go potty and take a quick shower! I know that gets frustrating after awhile but she's got stacks of stuff near her bed to do. Actually, I'm taking her some scrapbook stuff tomorrow, she wants to make some scrapbooks, now, before the baby arrives. Katie and I are going up to see her  for a brief visit tomorrow . Nat and I went up on Tuesday after Natalie's Doctor's appt. and had a nice visit, too. It's funny b/c Dr. Sharp is both the girls doctors--he's such a nice man, really SHARP haha ....Right now it looks like Powell will be born around 34 weeks which is probably the first part of December. Rachel's doctors don't think it's a good idea for her to leave the hospital so she is there for the remainder of her pregnancy, it looks like. Powell is also BREECH so pretty sure she will have a C-Section. (I told her I had one with Katie and she had the prettiest ROUND HEAD!).Despite all this, Rachel continues to have a great attitude and always has that smile on her face! Having said that, please continue to keep them in your prayers, it's been almost 3 weeks now since she was admitted and she still has a ways to go! Thanks for the inquiries and prayers. We are getting excited that our TWO babies will be born most likely just a week or so apart now! WOW! Sounds like the scene from "Father of the Bride 2"  with Steve Martin and Diane Keaton (one of my all time favs!)Steve Martin, was running from one room to the other with his wife having a baby at the same time his daughter was! It's a hoot but hope I'm not doing that--running from my daughter-in-law to my daughter's rooms!! hahahaha!.........blessings and love! Jxxoo
